TAB MILLION DOLLAR CHASE MILLION DOLLAR CHASE CLAIMED BY GOOD ODDS HARADA
The 2019 TAB Million Dollar Chase has come to a conclusion in sensation style at Wentworth Park, with Good Odds Harada, trained by Frank Hurst, taking out the world's richest greyhound race in front of a packed house.
With 6,380 people in attendance on the night, arguably the biggest crowd seen at the venue in decades, the main event of the evening got underway to rapturous applause with the crowd willing the eight finalists home from start to finish in a chorus of excitement.
The win makes the dreams of Frank and Tracey Hurst come true on an historic night for the industry where all net proceeds from the event were donated to the Greyhounds As Pets NSW program as well as Australian rock royalty, the Hoodoo Gurus performing live in concert on behalf of the adoption program.
The 2019 Series will be remembered for the impact it had on regional NSW, with an increased number of race meetings held in regional tracks with the aim of driving social and economic benefits to these centres experiencing one of the worst droughts on record.
The increased focus on the regional qualifiers proved successful with seven of the eight Finalists all qualifying in regional Heats and Finals.
